Leo proudly served in the United States Army during WWII, and received 2 Bronze Stars, the Victory Medal WWII, Occupation Medal Germany, and Good Conduct Medal for his service. He enjoyed playing pool and bowling and loved to spend his free time on the golf course.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Dee Zimmer. Leo is survived by his children; Walter Zimmer, Peggy Studebaker, and Julie Zimmer; grandchildren, Jessica, Kylie, and Alexis George; and many other loving relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10am at Newcomer Funeral Home-Kettering Chapel, with a visitation one hour prior (9-10am). Burial will follow at Centerville Cemetery.
