Zola M. Brooks, 89, of Middletown, formerly of West Carrollton, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Kettering Medical Center.
Zola was born March 11, 1931 in Jellico, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John Brooks, Jr.
Zola is survived by sons, Johnny & Peggy Brooks of Kingston, GA, Jim & Darla Brooks of Farmersville, OH; grandchildren, Michelle & Tony Redding of Acworth, GA, Chance Brooks of Nashville, TN, John Brooks of Kingston, GA, Zachery & Samantha Brooks of Euharlee, GA, Sunshine & Nathan Harden of Middletown, OH, and step-grandchildren, Shonda McKinney Short of Fairfield, OH, Autumn McKinney of Bardstown, KY, and Scott & Alana Harden of Urbana, OH. Zola is also survived by great-grandchildren, Hannah Brooks of Marietta, GA, Bailey Brooks of GA, Michael Robertson of OH, Wesley Robertson of FL; great-great-grandson, Talen Robertson of OH; brother, Bill Jeffers of Jellico, TN; sisters, Betty Newport, Paula Koultchakian, Tina Partin, Ella Lewis; special great-niece, Jennifer Hickman; and special cousin Glenna Fredericks of Deltona, FL.
Zola's family wishes to extend special thanks to Kettering Hospital nurses, Becca and Aaron for the compassionate care given to her.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., with Pastor Eddie Eve officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
