Age 83, of Tipp City, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at his home.
Yerkee was preceded in death by his parents, William & Mary (Jackson) Jones; two brothers, Golden & Reed Jones; and by one sister, Marjorie Jones.
Yerkee is survived by his wife of the past 57 years, Thelma M. (Sanders) Jones; one son, Richard & his wife, Debbie Edmonds; two granddaughters; five great grandchildren; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Yerkee retired from Daimler-Chrysler with 30 years of service.
The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday (4/10) at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday (4/12) at the Shields Pentecostal Church in Le Junior, Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment will be in Evarts Memorial Gardens in Evarts, Kentucky.
If friends desire, contributions may be made in memory of Yerkee to KWVA Wounded Warrior Fund, P. O. Box 51, Lewes, DE 19958.
