Wray Allan Harrison, age 77, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Dayton V.A. Medical Center in the hospice unit. He was born March 24, 1940 in Dallas, Texas the son of the late Ralph and Edith Harrison.
Wray served in the Army Security Agency and was deployed to Vietnam right before the war started to collect intelligence. He then graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1967 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Wray had four main loves in life: his family, baseball, knives and books. He was a wonderful man and loving Father. His intelligence, wisdom and sense of humor will be dearly missed.
Wray is survived by his brother, James (Susie) Harrison; former spouse, Phyllis Harrison; his loving children, Carl Wray Harrison, John Eric Harrison and Anika Wray (Keith) Sawmiller; and grandchildren, Evan Keith Sawmiller and Jacob Wray Sawmiller.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Dayton National Cemetery "Shelter B", 4400 W 3rd St. Dayton, Ohio 45417.
