Winston Michael Wade, age 55 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born February 19, 1965 in New York, New York, the son of the late Theodore and Rosalie Wade.
Winston is survived by his sons, Michael Wade, Dijion T. Wade, T.von Moses; his sisters, Ava Batts, Eileen Byers; his grandsons Malachi, Joseph, Keing, Elijah and Amir; host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as numerous others who called him "Pops" and "Big Mike."
Winston grew up in New York. After graduation from high school and trade school, Winston worked for Ambulette Transportation service. He also worked in security in New York, before relocating to Dayton Ohio. Winston's huge love of animals began in childhood when he began rescuing strays. He even brought home a baby alligator. He also had a heart for people in need throughout his life. Winston's other passions in life included fishing, karate movies and Godzilla. Cooking was at the top of his list. Known as an excellent and creative cook. He worked as cook in a Dayton hotel. A phone call from Buddy always began, "What you cooking Cause I had a taste for..." Winston was raised in Baptist Church. He gave his life to the Lord as young man. His journey with the Lord had some rough patches, but he found his way home.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 3 pm to 5 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral service will begin at 5 pm.
