Wilma Jean Snow, a beloved figure whose vibrant spirit illuminated the lives of all who knew her, passed away on January 6, 2026, at the age of 95 in Dayton, Ohio. Born on May 3, 1930, in Pineville, Kentucky, Wilma's journey through life was imbued with tenacity and a fierce zest for life that resonated in every interaction she had.
For over fifty years, Wilma dedicated herself as a Server at the King Cole Restaurant in Dayton. She found joy in the excitement of serving everyone from millionaires to movie stars, some encounters that seemed lifted from the pages of a Hollywood script. She embraced her role in the restaurant all while engaging warmly with patrons.
Wilma's life was a testament to resilience, shaped by a challenging upbringing in the coal towns of Kentucky. Yet it was in the heart of adversity that she forged her brilliant character. Outgoing and vivacious, she was a true lady, never one to let anyone walk all over her, and radiated a fiery spirit that drew others to her. Her adventures in serving were only outmatched by the love she held for her late husband, Harry Snow, who she adored until his passing in 1997.
Her life was enriched not just by the stories she told but by the friendships she nurtured along the way. She leaves behind her dear friends, Nancy Klosterman and Bob Herren, alongside many other loving family and friends who will miss her.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Earl Sprinkles and Myrtle (Skrews) Sprinkles, as well as all of her siblings and her beloved husband, Harry.
In the hearts and minds of those she touched, the vivid tapestry of Wilma Jean Snow’s extraordinary life will continue to evoke smiles and inspiration. She was a true embodiment of living life to the fullest, and her indomitable spirit will forever resonate in our memories.
Services will be held privately. She will be interred at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, alongside her husband.
