Wilma Jean Sams

Wilma Jean Sams, age 74, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on October 11, 2024. She was born on June 9, 1950 in Kentucky to the late JL and Gladys Allen. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Sams; her son Alex Sams; sisters Brenda, Linda, and Cathy; nieces Amber and Maria; nephew Tristan Baird.

Wilma is survived by her daughter Leeanna (Tommy) Collins; granddaughters Brittany (Chris) Watkins and Brooke Collins; sister Patricia Wilson; nieces and nephews Paula, Jay, Kristina, Meghan, and Shawn Patrick; great grandchildren Hailey, Kilee, and Jordan “The Boy.” 

Wilma was a long time employee of the Community Blood Center. She spent her life caring for her children and grandchildren, she was the best Maw her family could’ve ever asked for and she will be dearly missed. 

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
