Willie Joe "Papa" Hatton Sr., 64, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018. He was born on April 5, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio to Ernest Richard & Barbara Ellen Hatton.
He married Ruth Carol (Brewer) Hatton on September 4, 1971. Willie was a loving man who loved to watch Cowboys and spend time with his family. He drove trucks until he retired and was an E-1 in the Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rose (Hatton) Brock; brother, Lynville Hatton Sr.; son, Willie Joe Hatton Jr.; and numerous relatives.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Carol (Brewer) Hatton; son, Jeremy Hatton Sr. and fiancé Crystal Banks; brother, Doug Hatton and his wife Rebecca; sister, Betty (Hatton) McKibben; 11 grandchildren, Tricia , Brittany, Willie III and his wife Morgan, Mariah and her husband Landon McGuffie, Marcedes, Alan, Austin, Asia, Arriannah, Marrissa, and Jeremy Jr.; 4 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Sophie, Makenna, and Gracelynn; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 12:30-1:30pm at Newcomer South Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439. The service will follow at 1:30pm. Willie will be laid to rest at Bearcreek/Hillgrove Cemetery.
