Born on January 1, 1955, in Beckley, West Virginia, Bill’s life was defined by his quiet strength, steadfast commitment, and deep passions that touched all who knew him.

Bill was a graduate of Wayne High School’s class of 1972. Throughout his career, he applied his talents in the tool and die industry, demonstrating a work ethic that reflected his integrity and dedication. Beyond his professional life, Bill found great joy and fulfillment in his roles as a coach and mentor. An enthusiastic Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Reds fan, Bill’s enthusiasm for sports extended into his leisure activities. He enjoyed playing APBA baseball, a game that perfectly blended his competitive spirit with his love of baseball history. Music was another of Bill’s cherished interests; he especially loved listening to classic rock, which accompanied many moments of his life.

Their son, Anthony Tabor, and grandchildren, Shayanne and Lyla Tabor, were dear to Bill’s heart. He is also fondly remembered by his brother Randy (Joan) Tabor, his sisters, Marcia Johnson and Terri Tabor, and sister-in-law Teri Woolard. Bill’s family circle extended further with love and support from his mother-in-law, Elvina Nesbitt, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Maurice Tabor; sister, Barbara Adkins; brothers-in-law Tom Johnson and Bryan Nesbitt; father-in-law, William Nesbitt; and sister-in-law, Jeni Blake. Their memories remain enshrined in the fabric of his life and the hearts of his surviving family.
