Russell, William C. "Bill", 85, formerly of Elkhart, IN, graduated to a higher home on January 12, 2018.
He was born May 4, 1932 in Trumann, AR to the late William and Ruby (Hall) Russell. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Imogene, and two grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean Russell; 5 sons, Bill (Pat) Russell, Pat Russell, Dave (Juanita) Russell, John (Tammy) Russell, Tom (Karren) Russell; 3 daughters, Gaylene (Guy) Shepherd, Angela Brown, Kelly (William) Legg; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Claudean Henson, Judy (Lonnie) Glassburn; 2 brothers, James (Betty) Russell, Don (Barb) Russell, and many other relatives and friends.
Bill retired from GTE in 1992 after 25 years of service.
Visitation will be held from 3:00pm until 5:00pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Newcomer Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, where funeral service will follow at 5:00pm.
An expression of sympathy may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project in Bill's memory.
