William "Ross" Millsaps Jr.

William "Ross" Millsaps Jr., age 62 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on July 13, 2025. He was born October 24, 1962 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late William Millsaps Sr., Patricia Cusick, Ted and Beaulah Shope.

Ross was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son-in-law, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a 1980 graduate of Northridge High School. Ross served two years in the United States Navy. He donated his time as being the Treasurer of the Shamrock Athletic Club. Ross had a passion for golfing and playing in Dart tournaments. He was an avid football fan, with his favorite team being the Dallas Cowboys. Ross' pride and joy was his wife and family in which he will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Ross was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; nephew, David Susen; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Alicia Millsaps; children, William "Trey" Millsaps III, Josh Millsaps, Kristin Millsaps, Josh Ferro, and Macy Ferro; grandchildren, Celestial Raye, William Ross IV, Presley, and Thomas; in-law, Mark and Andrea Frost; siblings, Debbie (Tom) Susen, Greg (Susan) Millsaps, Scott (Katie) Shope, and Beth (Tim) Campbell; nieces and nephews, Sabrina, Tiffany (Logan), Ryan, and Lindsey; numerous other family members and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 from 11am to 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424.

A Celebration of Life will follow also on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 2pm at the Shamrock Athletic Club, 820 Linden Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45410.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ross' honor to Kettering Cancer Center and/or Hospice of Dayton.
