William Richard “Rick” Parsley passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 25th in Dayton, OH, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Kenova, WV January 6th, 1952, the first son of the late William Elwood Parsley and Anna Marie Poff Parsley, Rick is also preceded in death by his brother, John David Parsley and Pamela (Parsley) Young.

He is survived by his brother, Lafe “Chuck” Parsley and sister Amy (Parsley) Newton.

Married August 1st, 1987, Rick was a devoted husband of 38 years to Ann Lois Parsley. Together, they built a life and home centered on faith, family, and unwavering support for one another.

He was loving father to Mindy Antonchak of Lexington, Kentucky; Faith and Galen Coomer of Beavercreek, Ohio; Amanda and Nick Magoteaux of Dayton, Ohio; and Eric and Leanna Parsley of Centerville, Ohio. Rick took great pride in his children and the lives they built.

He was a cherished grandfather; known affectionately as “Pop-pop” to Gavin, Logan, Savanna, Sawyer, Clara, Hunter, Charlotte and Arabella.

Rick had a deep love for music, especially drumming, which was one of his greatest passions. Whether at church or at home, he found joy and connection through rhythm, using his gift to uplift and inspire those around him.

While a successful businessman, Rick was most devoted to two things: his faith and his family. Coming from a Pentecostal (or Apostolic) lineage and heritage, Rick committed his life to Christ and remained unwavering. He continually sought the deeper things of God and His Word. His deep desire for the Bible led him to initiating a Bible Quizzing program at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church of Dayton, OH.

He will always be remembered by his for his wisdom, his guidance, and the quiet strength he offered in every conversation.

Rick was known for his remarkable memory, his ability to truly listen, and his thoughtful advice. While a man of few words, he wanted to ensure that every word would count.

Above all, Rick will be remembered for his steady presence, his kind heart, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am-12:00pm on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Apostolic Lighthouse Church (2221 Harshman Road Dayton), where funeral services will begin at 12:00pm with Bradley Smith officiating.

Rick will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery following the service.
