William Paul Nelson Jr., 68, of Kettering, passed away January 1, 2018.
He was born April 28, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late William Paul Nelson Sr and Macle (Cole) Nelson. He was a Vietnam Veteran who took that honor very seriously and helped others even though he was disabled himself. He had many causes that he helped by volunteering resources and time to, such as the disabled veterans and women's shelter. He loved his family, animals, country and fellow veterans.
Dad always looked for that silver lining in any bad situation, he had one of those personalities "what you see is what you got", sometimes a good quality! He always had the best stories that are remembered by even grandkids and still being passed down through generations. He had lots of hobbies over the years, fishing, hot air balloons, race cars, healthy living and the most recent, sky diving. His passion for sky diving is the way he's leaving this world, scattered in the sky with his beloved dogs' ashes, Taz and Miss Kitty.
He was very proud of his children and their accomplishments and the guts to take on the world as he did, he taught us to survive no matter what we had to do. He was very close to family, especially "Brother Ed" as he would call our uncle Eddie, and is survived by a very large family, many brothers and sisters, three daughters, three grandchildren and great grandson.
