William Nelson

NELSON, William E. "Bill" age 85, of Washington Twp., a loving husband, father, and friend, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2007. He is survived by Ruth, his loving wife of 44 years; daughters, Lisa Ruth Nelson of Centerville, Laura Lynn Nelson and husband Tiberius Herman of Boston, MA, Pamela Nelson of Boston, MA; grandchildren, Peter Coe Nelson-Herman, Miranda Ruth Nelson-Powell; and numerous other relatives and friends. "Captain Bill" as he was affectionately known served in the U.S. Coast Guard, was a member of the American Legion, and Browns Backers of Greater Dayton, and was an avid coin collector. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Saturday October 13, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Funeral services will follow at 3 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
