William Lee Lewis
Better known as “Bill” was born on February 23rd 1957 in Lima, OH to Norma Jean Stimmel Grierson and William Herbert Lewis. He passed from this life on June 19th 2026 with family by his side at Hospice of Dayton in Dayton, OH.
He was a laborer for many years. He loved all things fishing, NASCAR, baseball, football and remote model airplanes.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother Norma Grierson and stepfather Jerry Grierson, his father Bill Lewis, his sister Deborah Lewis, his daughter Angie Lewis Sanders and his nephew Phillip Lewis-Pittman.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Vickie Lewis. His daughter Rikki (Travis) Giddens. His son Joshua (Rachael) Lawson. His sisters Mary, Kimberley, and Virginia. Several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A gathering of friends and family will take place Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 5:00-6:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH 45424. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 6:00pm
The family will respect his wishes of being cremated with his ashes spread at Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee.
