William Allen Johnson, Sr.

William Allen Johnson, Sr., age 75 of Vandalia, passed away January 12, 2017. He was born May 22, 1941 in Dayton to the late James H. and Margaret Johnson, Sr. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers: Walter Johnson and Richard Collins.
Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce Johnson; children: Marilyn Kiddle, William (Angela) Johnson, Jr. and Deborah (Keith) Brest; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers: Robert, Jack and James Johnson, Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bill was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 12-1 pm on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria. Contributions may be made in Bill's memory to the American Lung Association.
