William Howard Craft

William "Bill" Howard Craft, age 87, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026. Born on September 19, 1938, to the late Martha Rose and Howard Craft, Bill lived a full, dedicated life grounded in service, craftsmanship, and a deep devotion to his family.

Bill proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he channeled his sharp mind and work ethic into a remarkable 60+year career as an engineer at General Motors. His extraordinary longevity and dedication to his craft left an indelible mark on his colleagues and the industry he loved.

Beyond his professional life, Bill embraced adventure and the great outdoors. He often coached both grandsons sport teams, including football, baseball, soccer, and basketball. Alongside his beloved wife, Glenna, he shared a lifelong passion for exploring the open road on their Harley, boating on the waters of Lake Erie, and traveling to new destinations together.

Bill is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Glenna Jane Craft and his cherished grandson, Nicholas Tyler Craft.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Janice Anne Craft; grandson, William Alexander Craft; granddaughter, in-law, Shiloh Lynn Craft; brothers, Thomas J. Craft (Patricia) Charles Muth (Tom) and Michael Muth (Ann); sisters, Mary Schwarz (Al) and Betty Turvy (Roger) and a rich legacy of numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews who loved him dearly.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 26, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
