William "Bill" Owen Burgess

William "Bill" Burgess, 72 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026. Bill was a father, husband, son, and brother, and proud cat dad. He worked for General Motors for over 30 years, and once retired, decided he wasn't quite finished , and went to work for Liteflex Springs. He was a man ahead of his time, and enjoyed working on electronics, mechanical clocks, and computers befor eit was "cool" to do so.

Bill is survived by his wife, Julie Burgess, his daughters, Stacey and Kimberly Burgess, his sons, Michael and Matthew Bast, his grandchildren, Michayla Cassidy, Kenneth William Randal, and Arabella Carole Bast, and his beloved cat Binks and will be deeply missed by each and every one of us.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Zola; father, Joda; brother, Joda, Jr.; sisters, Rita Sebring, Pat Brock, Joan Wherley, and Rose Click.
