Wilburn V. Adkisson

Wilburn V. Adkisson, age 90, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on February 17, 2024. He was born in Harriman TN, on January 3, 1934 to the late Lon and Lona Adkisson. In addition to his parents, Wilburn was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Adkisson; son Rodney Adkisson; sister, Betty Phillips, and brothers: Bill Adkisson and John Adkisson.

Wilburn is survived by his son, Gary Adkisson and daughter and son in law, Debbie and Dirk Futrell; his grandsons, nieces, and nephews.

Wilburn proudly served his country as a part of the United States Army 2 years and the National Guard for 8 years. He retired from General Motors after 32 years.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 1:30 at Willow View Cemetery.
