Wesley "Gail" L. Sowers

Wesley "Gail" L. Sowers, age 84 of Troy, Ohio went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2025. She was born September 26, 1941 in Middlesboro, Kentucky daughter of the late Wheeler and Alberta (Parkey) Parsons.

Gail was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Gail worked for over 45 years in the nursing profession. She loved flowers, nature, and animals. Her pride and joy was her family and bringing a smile to those around her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her sister, Leslie L. Boone.

She is survived by her children, Kelly (Tim) Nance, Matthew (Kelly) Newberry, and John Newberry; grandchildren, Chris (Dorrie), Dana, and Conley; great grandchildren, Jayson, Kaylee, Layna, Maylynn, Ashlynn, Brandon, and Bradley; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 5pm-6:30pm at Cornerstone Baptist Temple, 1707 Ohmar Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45410.
