Werner Storost, Jr., age 84 of Dayton, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018. He was born August 22, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Werner Sr. and Charlotte Storost.
Werner owned and operated Furniture Kraft for nearly 60 years. He was a member of the Polish Club in Dayton. Werner enjoyed holding court with his friends at the shop. He was known for never meeting anyone who didn't have good in them; he truly exemplified the term "optimist".
In addition to his parents, Werner was preceded in death by his wife, Irene L. Storost; sons, Edward H. Storost and Russell E. Storost and sister, Sandy Shaw.
Werner will be missed by his two daughters, Debra F. (Greg) Kothman and Loretta L. Wright; grandchildren, Michelle L. (Tom) Wright, Aaron E. (Erika) Storost, Matthew G. (Brooke) Kothman, Mallory A. (David) Burdine, Amanda L. (Michelle Cruz) Wright and Jessica E. (Dylan Hicks) Foster; great grandchildren, Clayton Wright, Chelsea Wright, Jordan Weber, Levi Kothman, Shane Kothman, Veda Burdine, Dexter Burdine, Darren Hicks, Peyton Hicks and Alexis Storost; longtime companion, Diana Sims and her granddaughter, Lindsey and her boys, Ryan and Bentley; sisters, Anita Terry and Connie Toney and best friends, Whitey and Ron.
Family will receive friends Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Burial to follow the services at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Werner's memory to a charity of choice.
