Wayne Norris Starnes, age 79 of Fairborn, Ohio passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Dayspring Health Care Center. He was born July 24, 1937 in Evansville, Indiana.
Wayne's faith in the Lord and love for his family sustained him throughout life. He had a special place in his heart for his grandson who he always called his "main-man Joshie" and his granddaughters he lovingly referred to as "Puddin". He loved to hear his great-grandchildren call him Papaw Wayne. His story-telling, use of favorite southern expressions and his overall sense of humor was enjoyed by those who came in contact with him. He treasured the special friendships he had with those he used to work with years ago and still kept in touch with; his "Arkansas buddies" some of who now live in Ohio and would share lunch and visits with him and the special friendship he developed with Pastor Jeff. Wayne will be greatly missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Betty Lou and Charles Stinnett; his father and step-mother, Charles and Gladys Starnes; two brothers, C.H. Starnes and Buddy Starnes; one great-grandson, Landon Zimmerman and one great-granddaughter, Kendra Johnson.
