Wayne C. Brock

BROCK, Wayne C., age 77 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2016. He was born in Kettle Island, KY to the late Sam and Mary Ann Brock. He worked for many years at General Motors, where he retired after 32 years of loyal service. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling and was a car enthusiast. He found much joy in spending time with his family and doting on his grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his sister, Wilma Logan. Wayne leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 53 years, Sylvia Brock; children, Sherry (Larry) Fleck, Becky (Rod) Highfield, Jennifer (Luke) Brinkerhoff; grandchildren, Jonathan, Jacob (Arianna), Joshua (Maria), Rachel, Jenna, Elijah, Emily, and Autumn; great-grandchildren, Bella, Talon, Lily, Willow, and Judah; brother, Paul Brock; sister, Betty Patterson; best friend, Robert "Bob" Chambers; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Kettering from 3pm - 6pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016 at David's Cemetery (4600 Mad River Rd, Kettering) at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wayne's memory to Hospice of Dayton.
