Waylord L. Burchett

Waylord L. Burchett, age 94 of Medway, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Brookdale of Kettering. He was born September 12, 1926 in Paintsville, Kentucky, the son of the late Lonnie and Alcie Burchett.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughters, Cathy Williams and Theresa Anderson; and brothers, Lonnie and Waford Burchett.

Waylord is survived by his wife of 72 years, Clara; sons, Greg (Alison) Burchett, Keith (Debbie) Burchett; granddaughters, April (Adam) Pulliam, Krista (Colin) Hoke; grandson, Aaron (Bailey) Burchett; numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.

Waylord served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He also retired from General Motors. Waylord loved to fish and hunt and was very proud of his Kentucky roots.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Miami Valley United Baptist Church (660 W. Hyde Road, Yellow Springs, OH 45387). Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in New Carlisle Cemetery with military honors.
