Listen to Obituary

Wanda Ruth Willis, born on February 20, 1938, in Kettle Island, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, with her beloved sons by her side. A cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, Wanda's life was a tapestry woven with love, kindness, and an enduring spirit.

Wanda dedicated many years to her career as a realtor before retiring from Meijer. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her dedication to her family and friends, reflecting her loving and cheerful personality. She graduated from West Carrollton High School, setting the foundation for a life filled with meaningful relationships and joyful experiences.

Wanda was a woman who embraced life fully, relishing in the time spent with her grandchildren and engaging in hobbies that brought her joy. She was an avid player of Bingo and Euchre, enjoyed listening to country music, and found delight in watching game shows, particularly her favorites: Wheel of Fortune, The Price Is Right, and Jeopardy. Whether camping or simply sharing stories, her warmth and laughter were constants in the lives of those who knew her.

Her pride in her family was palpable, especially in her grandchildren, whom she regarded as one of her greatest accomplishments. Wanda was known as the "best mom ever" to her sons, Barry Willis and Mark Willis, and her legacy lives on through her grandchildren—Nicole Garrison, Chris (Courtney) Willis, Travis (Jacque) Willis, Brittany (Brandon) Winfield—and her 11 great-grandchildren, along with one great-great-granddaughter and one great-great-grandson. She leaves behind many dear family members and friends who will forever cherish the memories made with her.

Wanda is preceded in death by her father, Ovie Frost; mother, Edith Keubler; husband of 42 years, Raymond Willis; and son, Steven Willis. Her spirit and love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
