Vivian Ann Ritter, age 61 of Dayton, passed away January 11, 2020. She was born June 17, 1958 in Norton, Virginia to the late Billy Clay Oakes and Janet G. Mobley. In addition to her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her daughter, Valerie Ritter; sons: Anthony Ritter and Homer Ritter; granddaughter, Bella Ritter; and life long friend, Brenda Dyer.
Vivian is survived by her daughters: Heather Ritter (Todd Mollett) and Stacey Ritter (Dustin Reid); grandchildren: Nathan, Kelly, Bobby, Jonathon, Cheyann, Mya, Carson, Peyton, Dylan, Ethan, Thomas, Damon, Aaliyah, Brayden and Journee "Chunky Monkey"; great-grandchildren: Aniylah, Jonathon Jr., Braylee, Lilly, Camden and one on the way; sisters: Valerie, Lynn, Tammy, Sheila and Mary; brothers: Brad, Jimmy and Patrick; life long best friends: C.C. Cotrell, Sandy Washington and Geneva Miller; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Vivian was a one of a kind woman who loved to have a good time. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Vivian left a mark on everyone she met. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Newcomer Funeral Home or to Vivian's family to help with final expenses.
