Vivian E. VanDriel

Vivian E. VanDriel (Larison), born on July 10, 1954 in Dayton Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

A devoted follower of Christ, Vivian lived her life with love, compassion, and unwavering faith. She was happiest when in the company of family and friends, never missing an opportunity to spend time with those she cherished. She had a special gift for making everyone feel welcomed and loved-she truly never met a stranger.

Vivian found joy in the simple things-spending time outdoors, crocheting beautiful creations for her loved ones, storytelling, and cheering for her beloved Cincinnati Reds and Denver Broncos. One of her greatest joys was watching her sons and grandchildren play sports, where she was their loudest and proudest fan. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion that will live on through her family and all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anna Larison and her sister Norma Larison.

She is survived by her sisters, Judy Starnes (Roger Starnes), Carol Clingman (Bud Clingman); her sons David Walker (Kim Walker), Daniel Walker (Becky Walker); her beloved grandchildren, Gavin Walker, Garrett Walker, Grant Walker, and Reagan Walker. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition, she will be deeply missed by close friends Becky Lowmen, Wendy Koller, and many more whose lives she touched.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 11am to 12pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A service to celebrate her life will begin at 12pm also at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made in Vivians honor to the National Kidney Foundation or American Heart Association.
