Vivian M. Crooks, of Centerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at the age of 92. Cherished mother to Robert Crooks and Diane Brown, and loving grandmother to Alexa (Ryan) Deel , she leaves behind three precious great-granddaughters: Jocelynn, Everlee, and Stella. Vivian was also dearly loved by her nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harry L. Crooks, her grandson Richard Brown III, and her sisters, Juanita and Georgia.
Vivian was a proud graduate of Wilbur Wright High School in 1952, she went on to attend Miami Jacobs Business College. She was an active member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, a past Deacon at Southminister Presbyterian Church, and a dedicated member of Harvest Chapter #564 O.E.S. for 50 years. Vivian was a business owner in the Centerville-Kettering area for 25 years. After retiring in 1997, she started working with Centerville City Schools until her final retirement in 2013.
Vivian and her husband shared a love of travel, golf, music, playing bridge, and hosting dinner parties with family and friends. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone she met.
A private burial will take place at Washington Township-Centerville Cemetery, attended by immediate family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southminister Presbyterian Church, 7001 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, Ohio 45459.
