Virginia Cooley

Virginia Lucille "Lucy" Cooley, age 95 of Kettering, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Oak Creek Terrace. She was born November 12, 1924 in Cookeville, Tennessee to the late Robert and Martha Sparks.

Lucy is also preceded in death by her sisters, Pearl, Jewel, Bricey and Deedee Sparks; brother, Davey Sparks; step-daughter, Syble Yvone DePew; step-grandsons, Omer Jr. (Vicki) and Gary L. DePew.

She is survived by her step-granddaughters, Debra Lou (Randy) Ryberg and Sheri Lynn (Brian) Parrett; step-grandson, Johnny (Debbie) B. DePew; she is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Lucy was known for her beautiful smile, love of life, and her friendly personality. In her spare time she enjoyed dancing, reading biographies, and getting her hair done. She will always be remember for her generosity and bringing the children their favorite pies.
