Violet Margery (nee: Angle) Moodler, age 93, of Dayton, OH, made her transition Tuesday October 30, 2012.
Margery was born in Cambridge, OH on September 19, 1919, the only child of George H. and Cleo J. (Hammersley) Angle. She is predeceased by loving husband, Melvin R. Moodler, whom she married in 1947; and stepdaughter, Patricia Moodler Crosby.
She is survived by grandchildren, Neva (Ron) Good, Susan Scott, Janet (Fred) Rhinehart, and her primary caregiver, Sarah May (Richard L.) Nader. Also survived by daughter, Sandra (Robert) Murphy-Barnes and grandchildren, Elizabeth Barnes, Steven Barnes, and Jeffrey Barnes; and many great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
In 1937, she graduated from Brown High School, Cambridge and attended Ohio State University, and Bliss Business College, Columbus, OH; Kosta Beauty School, Dayton, OH; and operated the 1st patient Beauty Service at Miami Valley Hospital. Retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base in 1967. She was affiliated with the First Baptist Church. In 1937, she became a member of Olive Rebekah Lodge #576 I.O.O.F.. She was affiliated with Wright Patterson/Desc Retirees Club; Kiwanis Club of Kettering; National Association of Retired Federal Employees; AARP; Life Member of Guernsey County Genealogical Society and various County and State Genealogical Societies. Since 1970, she has privately published several Family Histories and manuscripts. She also researched for families other than her own.
Visitation is Sunday November 4, 2012 from 4pm to 6pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at the graveside at the Methodist Church Cemetery, Plainfield, OH on Monday November 5, 2012 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice in Mrs. Moodler's name.
