Viola Chilton Hubbard, cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and devoted companion, passed away on March 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will endure in the hearts of those who knew her. Born on February 13, 1959, in Bell County, Kentucky, Viola's life was a testament to the deep value she placed on family, nature, and the simple joys that brought her immense happiness.

Throughout her life, Viola adored her family, considering them the very center of her existence. She was a loving mother to her two sons, Jason Chilton and Justin Chilton, the latter sharing a close bond with his wife, Leigha. Viola’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she was a proud grandmother to three granddaughters-Sara, Hailey, and Jocelynn-and three grandsons-Harlan, Wyatt, and Gatlin-who were the light of her life and carried forward her legacy of love.

Viola’s zest for life was reflected in her passions. She loved spending time with her family, cherishing every moment shared together. Her affection for her dogs was profound, revealing a gentle and caring nature. A lover of travel, Viola found particular joy in the serene mountains of Kentucky, where the beauty of nature resonated deeply with her soul. Fishing and time spent outdoors were not just hobbies but essential parts of her life that brought her peace and fulfillment.

She leaves behind her boyfriend, Wayne Evans, who stood by her side with love and support. Viola is also survived by her three sisters, Charlotte Ann Chilton, Pauline Earle, and Carol Wilhelm, who shared in the closeness that family afforded her. Numerous other family members and friends, whose lives she touched, also mourn her passing and celebrate a life well-lived.

Viola was preceded in death by her beloved brother Charles Hubbard, sister Delores Haney, brothers Paul Hubbard and Leroy Hubbard, sister Betty McGeorge, and loving parents Henderson and Sarah Ella Hubbard. Their memory remains a treasured part of the tapestry of her life.
