McBride, Victoria L. was born May 3, 1964 and entered into eternal rest on February 17, 2016 at the age of 51.
She was preceded in death by her father, Vic Tegeder; step-father Dennis D. Simmons in Sept. 2014 and her mother-in-law Mary Jane McBride on July 6, 2014.
Vickie is survived by her loving husband of 21.5 years, Stan McBride; children Adam Martin, Joe Martin, Zach McBride, Luke McBride; grandchildren Chloe Martin and Kohl Martin; mother Brenda Carr; brothers, Nick Tegeder, Rick Tegeder, Todd Tegeder, and Denny Simmons and his wife, Jean; sister Kristie Dee Daniels; nieces and nephews, Cody Damron, AJ Simmons, and Daulton Simmons; as well as many other family and friends.
She was an optician for 15 years at Spectacle Shops. Vickie acquired her insurance license in 2003 and was an Ohio Notary Public. She served as custodian of West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene from 2000-2002 where she also was the head of Target Dayton Ministry for 3-4 years.
A 4 year battle with cancer could not deter her as she battled until last Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Rest finally came for one who served others her whole life.
Vickie's family will receive friends on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 1:00-5:00 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Kettering, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 22 at the West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Vickie's honor to Target Dayton Ministries or Food to Go, a ministry of Living Hope Church.
