Victor Richard Temple, 89, of Vandalia, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on April 29, 1935, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the cherished son of the late Marion and Victoria Temple.

A proud graduate of Kiser High School’s Class of 1953, Victor built a remarkable career as a computer operator for GM/EDS, where he dedicated over 25 years of service. After retiring, his passion for community and sports led him to a beloved role as a ticket taker for the Dayton Dragons, where he warmly greeted fans for an additional 22 years. His enthusiasm for his work was infectious, and he took pride in every smile he shared at the ballpark.

Victor was a true sports enthusiast, cheering fervently for the Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes, and his hometown Dayton Dragons. Beyond the games, he found joy in the pages of countless books, amassing an impressive collection as an avid reader. His love for auctions was legendary-Victor delighted in uncovering unique treasures, which he proudly shared with his family. His creativity shone each Christmas, when he filled stockings with quirky, heartfelt finds that sparked laughter and joy.

Above all, Victor cherished his family. His devotion to them was unwavering, and his presence brought warmth to every gathering. His humor, kindness, and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Victor is survived by his daughter, Kelly D. (Harry) Atwell; son, Victor R. (Sherry) Temple; grandchildren, Ella Temple, Lyanna Temple, Phil (Kristine) Atwell, and Marti (Ben) Shoenfelt; great-grandchildren, Gabbi(Garrett), Shelbi(Ivy), Tyler, Tayler, Cohen, and Kenzie; great-great-granddaughter, Maggie; brothers, Jack Temple and Mark Temple; sisters, Marian Louise Dillon and Barbara Temple; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will forever hold him dear.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Temple; sister, Lorraine Cooper; and his parents, Marion and Victoria.
