Vicki R. Poorman, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Dayton, Ohio, on November 6, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on April 20, 1957, Vicki brought joy and laughter to those around her.
Vicki graduated from Northridge High School, Class of 1975, where she was a vibrant part of the school spirit as a cheerleader for the wrestling team. She was active in sports as well, playing field hockey and tennis.
Known for her funny, caring, and uplifting personality, Vicki had a remarkable ability to light up a room. Her laughter and warmth drew people in, making them feel valued and loved. Vicki enjoyed watching her favorite football teams, Ohio State and the Bengals play.
Family was at the core of Vicki's life. She cherished spending quality time with her daughters, Annette (James) Branham and Donna (James) Jason, and relished every moment spent with her grandchildren: Jayden McClintock, Levi Holland, Jr., and Amaya Branham. Her love extended to her great-grandchildren Alena and Beckham, who brought her immense happiness. Vicki's sister, Tammy Boyd, and brother, Donald (Debbie) Boyd, were also important parts of her life, along with her nephew, Josh Boyd, and her Aunt Dorothy Burton.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Boyd and Donna Boyd, and her significant other, Wayde Lankford. Her absence will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and memories that will linger in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace and continue to inspire those who loved her.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 from 9:30-10:30 am at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45424. The service will follow at 10:30am. Vicki will be laid to rest with Wayde at Poplar Hill Cemetery in Vandalia.
