Vi Virginia Cameron

Vi Virginia Cameron, age 95, died in Dayton, OH on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Wood Glen Alzheimer's Community. She was born December 8, 1921 in Catawissa, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Albert and Opal Yocum.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Cameron; brother, Jay Yocum; sister, Dorothy Troy; and daughter, Carol Buck.
Vi is survived by her son, Carl Cameron and daughter-in-law, Lorraine Cameron of Dayton, OH; granddaughters, Dr. Carla Cameron of Springboro, OH, Lynne (Matthew) Fluharty of Middletown, OH; sister, Beryl Orth of Catawissa, PA; several great grandchildren, including Rachel, Katie, Connor, Madilyne and Brandon; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was nearly a lifelong resident of Danville, PA where she was employed with Geisinger Medical Center and was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
