Vernon L. Cox Sr.

Vernon L. Cox Sr., age 65, passed away in Riverside, Ohio on February 22, 2016. He was born to the late Woodrow Cox and Ramona Brassfield on May 25, 1950 in Pinesville, Kentucky. Vernon retired from General Motors after over 30 years of service. He was respected and loved by anyone who knew him. Vernon was very kind, wonderful, and gentle man; always with wisdom to share. He is survived by his children James, Vernon and Jane, Michael, Matthew, Robyn; numerous grandchildren; siblings Willy, Ella Mae, John, Norman, Douglas and beloved girlfriend Mary Steigerwald. He was preceded in death by his wife Gwen Cox, son David Cox and brother Charlie. A visitation will be held at Valley Street Pentecostal Holiness Church on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 9:30am-10:30am with a funeral service to follow at 10:30am. Burial will take place at Royal Oak Cemetery.
