Vernon Gregory
August 20, 1924 — December 9, 2015
Vernon Leo Gregory, age 91 of Kettering, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away December 9, 2015. His parents were George E. and Rose (Whitesell) Gregory.
He spent his life in service including the Army in WWII and his career at WPAFB.
Vernon is survived by his daughters: Christine (Phillip), Patricia (Dennis) and Sharon; grandchildren: Chad (Lorrie), Angela (Steven), Matthew (Kathryn); 6 great-grandchildren: Carlle, Nichole, Allyson, Quentin, Brooksley and Megan; brother-in-law, Dean.
Vernon was preceded in death by his wife, Neva; grandson, Gregory; siblings: Marguerite, Helen, Frank, Charles, Theresa, George, Paul, Joanne, Tom and Ann; sisters-in-law: Izzy, Jackie and Harriet; and brother-in-law, Harold. He was the last surviving sibling, and we pay tribute to the entire Gregory family, a strong, loving, courageous family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Ascension Catholic Church, 2025 Woodman Drive, Kettering, where the family will greet friends from 9:30-10:30 am. Father Ed Pratt, Celebrant. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Vernon's name to Chaminade-Julianne High School. Visit www.cjeagles.org
