Verna Marie Alley

ALLEY, Verna Marie 79, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019. Verna was born on April 26, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio to George Alley and Edna (Smart) Alley who precede her in death. Also preceding her are her sister's, Shirley Alley, Joyce Alley.

Verna leaves to cherish her memory, her sister Mary Alley, brother and sister-in-law George and Bertha Alley. Also surviving are her niece Christy (David) Kretzer, nephew Brian Alley, great niece Mackenzie Kretzer, great nephew Cody Kretzer, special friend John Koffman, extended family and friends.

She was retired from Lazarus where she worked in the restaurant for 25+ years, member of Bethel Christian Church, singles and mingles. She enjoyed bible studies, teaching children in Sunday School, spending time with family and friends and visits with her dog Chewy. She also enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers, Snoopy memorabilia and an avid Elvis fan.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends, Friday, January 3, 2020 at NEWCOMER CREMATIONS, FUNERALS & RECEPTIONS, Dayton North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. There will be a Celebration of Verna's life, Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dan Brown presiding. Burial will be 1:30 pm Friday, January 10, 2020 in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
