Venita Joy Howard
74, of Fairborn, Ohio passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018. Joy was born on December 29, 1943 in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Fairborn High School. She lived a life devoted to her family and giving back to the community. Preceded in death by her parents, Eldred and Lela Virginia Powell; brother, Eldred Jay Powell; her first born child; and grandson, Eli. Survived by her husband of 55 years, Lenville (Lynn) Howard; children: Virginia Gibson, Leanna Phillips, Adam Howard, and Thomas Howard, along with their spouses; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Bruce Powell. Per Joy and Lynn's request there will be no public service but a combined celebration of their lives at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joy's name to Dayton Children's Hospital per her request.
