Valerie Anne Spiller

Valerie Anne Spiller, age 86, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025. She was born on May 17, 1939  in Hunstanton, Norfolk England. She was the beloved mother of Dean Spiller, Dale (Renee) Spiller, Donna Carver and John (Amy) Spiller; adored grandmother of Michael Sandoval, Nicholas Sotlar, Daniel Spiller, Emilee (Robert) Spiller, Jonathan Spiller, Jasmine Spiller, Justin Spiller, Jennifer (David) Frey, Kimberly Pak, Mark Carver, Marissa Carver, Jenna Spiller, Jordan Spiller and beloved great grandmother of Nevaeh, Olivia, Elijah, Sophia, Aryanna, Grayson, Evelyn, Kendrick Jr., Kayden, Azurra, Alexander, Elizabeth, Violet, Willow, Michael Jr. and Anthony; sister to, Rosemary (Gerry) Wase of England and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews in the States and in England.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles H. Spiller; son; Duane Spiller; parents, John and Doris Searle; siblings, John (Jean) Searle, Joy (Vic) Gosnell and Maureen (Whitey) Roberts.

Valerie was the ultimate military wife and thoroughly loved traveling the world with her husband and 5 children. She is affectionately known as Nanny to many. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, spending time with her animals and shopping.

Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd) on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 10:00 am with memorial service to follow at 11:00 am. Charles and Valerie will be laid to rest at Valley View Memorial Gardens at a later date privately.
