Tyra Nicole Phelps

Tyra Nicole Phelps, a vibrant spirit with a heart full of creativity and love, was born on May 28, 1991, in Dayton, Ohio. She departed from this world on December 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Tyra was a proud graduate of Mound Street Academy in Dayton, a place where her talents began to blossom. An enthusiastic artist, she possessed the remarkable ability to see an image and faithfully recreate it in her paintings, a skill that filled her life with joy and purpose. Her artwork was not just a hobby; it was an extension of her caring personality, sharing her perspective of the world with those around her.

Known for her humor and infectious happiness, Tyra had a personality that was as sweet as it was sour. Her family lovingly described her as the perfect blend of kindness and playfulness, bringing laughter and love into their lives. As a devoted animal lover and skating enthusiast, her interests revealed her gentle spirit and adventurous nature.

Tyra took immense pride in her family, especially her nephews, whom she adored deeply. Her relationships with her loved ones were the cornerstones of her existence, and she nurtured these bonds with unwavering affection.

She will be missed tremendously by her mother, Florence Adkins; step mother Susan Snider, siblings Teasha (James) Medley, James Wright, and Tori Beck; her beloved grandmother, Bonnie Johnson; and her uncle, Bill Snider. Tyra also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom were touched by her warmth and charisma.

She was preceded in death by her father Jeffrey Paul Snider and her grandparents Ellen Leese and Gerald Snider. 

In this time of sorrow, we remember Tyra not only for the love she gave but also for the smiles and laughter she inspired. Though she has left this world, her spirit and creative touch will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.
