Tory June Parsons (Newsome-Holbrook) known to most as "Mama June" born July 30, 1936 (her birthday most of her life was June 25, 1935 due to a fire at the court house in Wheelright, Kentucky). She left for heaven on October 2, 2026 under the care of Dayton Hospice and her family.

She was proceeded in death by her parent's Melvin Newsome and Pearl Dawson-Newsome; her husband's, Reverend Ora Whipple "Whip" Holbrook and Earl Wiley Parsons; her brothers and sister, Bill, Buck, Bud, and Lula.

She is survived by her daughter, Bettie Travis-Mercurio (Paul); son, Ed Holbrook (Kim); sister, Melvina; grandson, Ben Wilkinson (Brittany); granddaughter, Ashley Travis; and five great grandchildren; and many other loved family members.

She loved talking about and learning about God. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, ceramics, doll making and any other craft. She enjoyed reading, her cooking shows, and sitting on the front porch with family and friends usually doing bible study.

She attended church at Honey Creek Christian Church, New Carlisle and The Church of Christ Sarasota Florida. She loved her God and her church family. She will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
