Tommy Garringer

September 23, 1942 — November 13, 2017

Thomas Gordon "Tommy" Garringer, known as the Ice Cream Man to his many friends and family, age 75 of Huber Heights, left this Earth on November 13, 2017. He was born September 23, 1942 in Jay County, IN to the late Orville and Helen Garringer. In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 3 sisters.

Tommy married the love of his life, Kathleen in March of 1965 and they were never apart since. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathy Garringer; children: Cherie (William) Cash, Dina Wilson, Thomas (Amy) Garringer, Douglas Garringer and Kathisue (Scott) Ray; grandchildren: Bethany, Chris, Erin, Ben, Kailey, Ashlyn, Logan, Emily and Katie; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Tommy was an entrepreneur, coach, mentor, & civic citizen to the communities of Dayton.

Please come if you can to celebrate this wonderful man's life. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm. Close friend, Tony Legg officiating.
