Tina Marie “Mims” Ogletree , age 64, of Kettering Oh
Passed alway at home on Sunday , September 20, 2026. She was born on May 6, 1962 in Lincoln Nebraska to the late James Glen Wilson and Wilma Carol (Currier, Wilson) Helms. On December 13, 2014 she married the late Andre Ogletree.
Mrs. Ogletree was an Assistant Vice President - Home & Auto Client Sales at Synchrony Financial. She worked for Synchrony for over 15 years and also worked over 10 years at the Berry Network as an executive account manager. She was a 1980 graduate of Sidney High School and Edison State Community College with a degree in early childhood education.
She absolutely adored her children both biological and nonbiological! She loved cooking and might we add, we all loved her cooking too! She loved going to festivals, doing crafts, crocheting and making special blankets for her family. Tina loved her family and enjoyed having gatherings at the house, being around her grandbabies and being involved in every aspect of their lives. Tina was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2024, a terminal illness making it difficult for her to breathe. During this time, she was given 6 months to a year, but we did not accept this. We prayed and found a specialist at OSU that began treating her. With this life changing diagnosis, she could no longer do the things she loved which affected her deeply but she kept her faith and continued living for her Family & Dearest Friends.
Anyone who knew Tina knew how much she cherished her children, grandchildren, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, in-laws (Luther and Bertha Ogletree, and Teresa Mims), and fur babies, Pedee, Harley, and Barkley.
Tina leaves to cherish her memories with her loving children, Spencer (Jessica) Mims, Jonas Mims, and Hunter (LaRon) Mims. Sisters; Kay Rose and Sadonna Lett-Burchfield; Sister-In-Law Martha (Derrick) Shepard, seven grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and her sweet puppy Memphis.
