Tina Lynn Marshall, a beacon of love and beauty in every sense, passed away on August 20, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio, at the age of 53. Born on January 8, 1973, in Defiance, Ohio, Tina brought warmth and light to all those fortunate enough to share in her journey.
Throughout her life, Tina was known for her generous heart and boundless capacity to love. Her presence was always felt—often described as “over the top” in the best ways, she filled the spaces around her with color and joy. Whether it was through her knack for decorating or the countless flower arrangements she lovingly created, Tina had an unparalleled ability to make things beautiful. She brought that same care and intention into every moment, making even the simplest days feel special.
Tina’s artistry extended far beyond aesthetics. She had a deep appreciation for thrifting with her niece, Ashley, delighting in the unique treasures she discovered and seamlessly weaving them into her home. Her eye for detail and her creative spirit were matched only by the tenderness she showed to family and friends. For the past seven years, Tina dedicated herself as a caregiver to her father, Wolford Marshall, embodying devotion and compassion day after day. Her capacity to love never seemed to diminish; if anything, it grew deeper with every challenge met and every soul she touched.
Above all else, Tina’s greatest pride in life was loving her family and friends—most especially her beloved daughter, Stephanie Esquibel. The depth of her care was clear to all who knew her: she gave freely, fiercely, and without reservation.
Tina is survived by her cherished daughter, Stephanie Esquibel (Alisa Reber); her loving father, Wolford Marshall, whom she so steadfastly cared for; her devoted sister, Corinne Ruskey (Douglas); her brother, Kelly Barnett (Heidi); fiance, Derek Motts; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Each of them carries with them memories of Tina’s radiant spirit and her unwavering love. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Jearldine Smith.
To honor and remember Tina’s remarkable life, a visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH, where the funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm.
In the hearts of those she loved, Tina’s legacy endures—a testament to a life lived with boldness, joy, and an endless embrace for those around her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
