Tina M. Greer, age 55, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on June 9, 2025. Born on August 17, 1969, in Dayton, she spent her life deeply rooted in her community, bringing joy and kindness to all those around her.
Tina had a fulfilling career working in the Tipp City Middle School Cafeteria, where she found great joy in her interactions with coworkers and students alike. Her cheerful disposition and nurturing spirit were felt by many.
A devoted Wife, Mother, and Grammy, Tina was known for her generosity, caring nature, and remarkable ability to uplift the spirits of those around her. She was fiercely supportive of her husband, Dan L. Greer, acting as his precious helper and best friend on various projects throughout their 30 years together. Her commitment to family was evident in all that she did, as she treasured each moment spent gardening, fishing, camping, swimming, and basking in the sun with her loved ones.
Tina’s personality was a blend of humor, positivity, and understanding. She often lived her life free from the constraints of judgment, truly embodying a spirit of kindness and compassion. Her recent spiritual journey led her to find solace in her faith, having gotten saved just eight weeks prior at Christian Redemption Tabernacle, an event that brought her immense peace and fulfillment.
Tina is survived by her beloved husband, Dan L. Greer; her father, Chester Brown; her cherished children, Amber Danielle (Brandon) Homer, Allison Michelle Young, and Alexander Lee Greer; and her treasured grandchildren, Cali Skye Homer, Mason Allen Young, Kinley Shayne Homer, Weston James Young, and Emerson Lee Homer. She also leaves behind her loving brother, Chuckie Brown; as well as her father-in-law Danny R. Greer, mother-in-law Kimberly K. Greer, brother-in-law Dean (Melissa) Greer, sister-in-law Melissa (Tony) Wells, many nieces and nephews; and special cousins Laura Coffee and Cindy Glascoe.
Tina was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Brown, whose memory will continue to live on through the love Tina shared with her family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 1-3pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424. The service will follow at 3pm.The family asks that you wear bright colorful clothing to the celebration of life in honor of Tina.
She will be forever remembered for the light she brought into the lives of others and the indelible mark she made on the hearts of many. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
