Timothy G. “Tim” Hogue
“Springer”
Franklin, Ohio
Timothy G. Hogue, also known by his CB handle “Springer,” passed away peacefully on October 7,
2025, surrounded by his family. He had just celebrated his 84th birthday in August.
Born and raised in Ohio, Tim proudly served in the Air Force Reserves from 1959 to 1965. He went
on to spend much of his life on the road as a truck driver, a career that reflected both his work ethic
and love for the open road. After retiring, he found joy in his favorite role of all — being a
stay-at-home grandpa.
Tim was a man who could fix just about anything. He had a lifelong passion for working on cars and
loved bringing home old project vehicles to tinker with. Some of his favorite cars were his black ’66
GTO, red ’66 GTO, and a ’49 Ford pickup that he was still restoring. Tim and his wife, Frances
(Fran), enjoyed camping trips with their family. Some of their favorite spots included Amish Country,
Poor Farmers, and Indiana, always with their faithful dogs by their side.
Known for his contagious laughter, sense of humor, and unforgettable smiley faces, Tim had a way
of brightening every room he entered. He deeply loved his family — his wife, children, grandchildren,
and great-grandchildren — who were the center of his world. Even in his final years, when words
sometimes faded, the laughter and presence of the little ones could still bring warmth and a smile to
his face.
Tim was a man of faith who grew up sharing the Word and living by Christian values, even though he
was not affiliated with a particular church.
He is survived by his devoted wife Frances (Fran) Hogue; children Lisa Coulson, Bryan Hogue,
Timothy R. Hogue , Mindy (James) Craig, and Michael Hogue; grandchildren Benjamin Morris, Brad
Morris, Samantha (Ryan) Wellmer, Joseph Hogue, Tayler (Tyler) Cottman, Kassie Hogue, Timothy
W. Scott, and Kimberly Hogue; and great-grandchildren Annalynne Scott, Alaric Hogue, Landen
Hogue, Benjamin Cottman, Amelia Wellmer, and Elizabeth Cottman. He is also survived by his
brother Richard (Dick) Hogue, along with many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings, and is now reunited with them in
peace.
A visitation and service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Kettering, Ohio on Friday,
