Thomas Burton Goney, age 71, of Dayton, passed away October 2, 2021. Tom was born in Grimsley, Tennessee on October 28, 1949 to the late Burton Goney and Mary Overbey. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his children: Tina and Tom Jr.; and his siblings: TJ Johnson, Jim Goney, and Mike Overbey.
Tom built and ran his own flooring company in Dayton for 40 years. If he wasn't working, he would often go camping or fishing.
He will be remembered by siblings: Don (Darlene) Goney and Tammy (Fred) Brackney; several nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.
The family will hold a celebration of life for Tom at a later date.
