Thomas H. Bond, aged 85, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026. Born on March 28, 1940, Tom was a dedicated family man and a respected member of his community, whose legacy will be cherished by all who knew him.
Tom had a distinguished career, working at Dayton Forge and Heat Treat and retired from ABX in Wilmington. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, exemplifying the values of commitment and service that shaped his character throughout his life.
Though he was quiet and reserved by nature, Tom possessed a sharp wit and a sense of humor that endeared him to those around him. His strong-willed personality was complemented by a gentleness that made him approachable and respected by both friends and family.
Tom's passions extended beyond work and service; he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed fishing and often sought solace on the water, where he could enjoy the tranquility of nature. Additionally, he was a devoted Cincinnati Reds baseball fan, or as he would call them the "Red Legs." This enthusiasm for the game fostered countless memories shared with his loved ones.
He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 65 years, Kay E. Bond; daughters, Amy Rohr and Missi Seifert; grandchildren: Tyler (Cerissa), Emily (Wes), Brittney (Matt), Josh (Bella), Jordan, Caiti, Halie, and Madison; and nine great-grandchildren, with one on the way. The warmth of his family was a source of great pride for Tom, as he nurtured a close-knit environment filled with love.
Tom is also survived by his siblings, Bill, Robert, and Maralyn; sister-in-law, Sharon; son-in-law, Doug; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Holly; his son, Jeff; and his parents, Lela and Gentry Bond. Their memory remains alive in the hearts of those who carry forward the values they instilled.
Thomas H. Bond leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience that will resonate within his family for generations to come. He will be deeply missed but remembered with honor and gratitude for the remarkable life he led.
Details for Tom's services will be posted at a later date.
