Theodore David Merritt Jr.

Theodore David Merritt Jr., lovingly known as David, went to rest with his Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 11, 2026. He was born to Theodore and Ever May Merritt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Eva June Merritt, and brother Samuel Merritt. David is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Olivia Merritt, son Theodore David Merritt, brother Billie (Dale) Merritt of Albany, Georgia, sisters-in-law Brenda Gullette, Beverly Jones, Weontah (Jerome) Demming and Jennifer Merritt, granddaughters Ocatvia, Ciera, and Naquita Merritt, loving aunt Lillian Howard.

I made it home Family.

I know I was loved by all, but I had to answer Jesus' call. I know you loved me with all of your hearts, but the angels said, It's time to depart. I know everything won't be the same, but know I am no longer in pain.

When you think of me, please know that I left with a smile, because you all took care of me for a very long while. When you think of me, please don't cry or mourn, for I did not die, I just made it home.
